Design and production. Neither outsourced.

Most studios design in a vacuum and hand the rest off. We work the full process — from the first layout decision to the final press check.

— The founding position

Substrate is a design material, not a constraint

Print shops treat design as a service add-on. Design agencies treat the press as a vendor. We built Praetor to close that gap — production literacy is not optional, it shapes every layout decision we make.

Extreme close-up, north-facing daylight, a printing press mid-production run — ink rollers saturating a sheet of heavy uncoated stock, deep cyan and black ink visible in sharp detail against the paper grain, mechanical precision in focus

We know what the press can hold

Color decisions are made knowing ink behavior on each substrate. Paper weight and finish are chosen before the layout begins, not after.

This is not about aesthetics alone. It is about work that prints true, holds its edge, and reads as intentional in the hand of whoever receives it.

Execution is the argument

The finished work is the clearest statement of what Praetor can do. See recent projects across print, branding, and large-format production.
